SmartFreezer™
Developed in a partnership with Angelantoni Industrie, SmartFreezer® is the only fully automated freezer that individually stores and retrieves sample vials at temperatures of -80°C using a traditional mechanical freezer or at -180°C using a liquid nitrogen tank (vapor phase). SmartFreezer offers flexible storage configurations with capacity to store more than 17,000 1.4 ml vials and more than 10,000 2.0 ml vials.
SmartFreezer® is powered with RURO Smart RFID technology utilizing RURO’s FreezerPro® software as its working platform. The onboard robot guarantees safe and rapid access of requested samples without the need of any manual action while providing robust inventory management, reporting, auditing capabilities and sample identification via 2D barcode and RFID tags directly fixed to the vial.
Independently validated and certified to be fully compliant with the FDAs current GLP/GMP requirements, SmartFreezer is the ultimate frozen sample storage solution for biobanks and biorepositories.

** OPTIONAL. It is a device that produces dry air with a dew point of -40°/-50°C to be injected in the room over the storage place. This system allows to avoid defrosting
because ice formation cannot take place. This device is not necessary if anhydrous nitrogen gas is used.
