Installation Instructions

Committed to the industry movement toward virtualization, we distribute our solutions as Virtual Appliances, eliminating installation, configuration, and maintenance costs associated with traditional deployment methods.

To take full advantage of our software, and be able to access it from any PC on your network, a free virtualization software from VMware should be installed on your computer. VMware software enables companies to partition a physical server into multiple virtual machines.
FreezerPro, ezColony and LIMS 247 Virtual Appliances can be installed on Windows, Mac OS X or Linux servers. Please check the latest System Requirements.

If you are just starting with virtualization or evaluating FreezerPro, ezColony or LIMS 247 we recommend using VMware Player. VMware Player is also recommended when installing on Windows Vista or running without the network connection.

Installation of VMware Player

• 1. We recommend using the latest version of VMware Player.
• 2. Go to http://www.vmware.com/download/player/
• 3. Click the Download link
• 4. Fill in the registration form and click Submit button.
• 5. Click the Download Now button.
• 6. Read User License Agreement and click Accept

Installation of Virtual Appliance (FreezerPro, ezColony or LIMS 247)

• 1. Insert the installation disk in CD-ROM (if you wish, open INSTALL.PDF to read installation instructions)
• 2. Unzip the vmw_image.zip file into C:\Virtual Machines
• 3. Click Open button and select FreezerPro (ezColony, LIMS 247) in C:\Virtual Machines
• 4. Virtual Appliance will power up and users can now access the software by opening the web browser and navigating to the IP address shown in the VA's console.

Note: When running without the network connection, be sure to specify NAT networking in VMware Player (Devices->Network->NAT).
